Eligibility Criteria for B.Pharma L.E in Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence
1. The duration of the B. Pharma course is 4 years, and the duration of B. Pharma Lateral Entry admission is 3 years.
2. The person who has completed Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) with 50% marks, he/she is eligible for B. Pharma Lateral Entry admission. On the other side, a person who has completed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology with 50% marks from any recognized board/institute, he/ she is not eligible for a lateral entry programme.
3. In B. Pharma Lateral Entry admission programme, students get direct admission in the second year of the B. Pharma course. On the other side, in general, B. Pharma programme, students get admission in the first year of the B. Pharma course.
4. In matters of employment opportunities and higher education, the value of both programmes is the same.
Admission Process
1. Colleges publish admission notices on their website from June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark the cut-off mark.
3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
6. B Pharmacy Admission is done on the basis of both Entrance Exams as well as the basis of Merit. Various Entrance Exams such as UPSEE, GPAT, NEET etc are conducted to enrol students for B Pharmacy courses.
